Education Calculators

GPA, CGPA, grade conversion, transcript and admission calculators, each able to use your own university’s published grading scale.

Calculators for your university

The CGPA calculator can use any of 40 universities’ own grading scales, and each has a page of its own with that scale, a worked example and the questions its students actually ask.

About these calculators

The education calculators cover the sums a student repeats every term: a semester GPA from subject marks or grades, a cumulative CGPA across semesters, a percentage from marks, and the conversions between GPA, CGPA and percentage that applications ask for. Each tool shows the formula it uses and a worked example, so you can check the answer against your own result card.

Grading rules differ between institutions, which is why the CGPA calculator can apply a university’s own published grading scale instead of one generic table. The admission tools work the other way round: they combine matric, intermediate and entry test marks into a weighted aggregate and show what score a target merit needs. Results are estimates for planning, and your university’s official record always decides.

Frequently asked questions

Why do two universities give different GPAs for the same marks?

Each university publishes its own grading scale, so the same percentage can map to different grade points. A calculator that applies one fixed table will disagree with your result card, which is why these tools let you pick your university’s scale.

Can I use these results on an application?

Treat them as an estimate. Applications and employers ask for the figure on your official transcript, and the PDFs generated here are clearly marked unofficial.

Is a percentage worked out from CGPA exact?

No single official formula converts CGPA to a percentage. The linear, ×20 and published-table rules give different answers, so the conversion calculators show them side by side.
