Terms of Use

Last updated 3 October 2026

Accepting these terms

CalcScholar is a product of XOVO Technologies, which operates this website. Using the site means you accept the terms on this page, together with the privacy policy and the disclaimer. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. They apply to every calculator here, to the transcript generator, and to every document those tools produce.

What the service is

CalcScholar is a free set of calculators for study, money, health, maths and everyday questions. You enter your own figures, such as marks, credit hours, loan amounts or measurements, and the site applies a published rule to them: a grading scale, a tax table, a standard formula. Most calculations run in your browser. The site does not hold your academic or financial record, does not contact any university, bank or authority, and cannot confirm what any of them has actually decided about you.

Estimates, not advice

Results are estimates for planning and learning. Nothing on the site is financial, tax, legal, accounting, medical or academic advice, and nothing is an offer, a quote or a recommendation. Rules, rates and thresholds differ by place and by personal circumstances and change over time. Talk to a qualified professional before making a decision that matters, and read the disclaimer for the details.

Documents are unofficial

Documents generated by this site are unofficial and are not issued by any university. A PDF generated here is a formatted version of the numbers you typed. It carries no seal, no signature and no institutional authority, and every page says so. Presenting one as an official transcript, or altering it to remove the unofficial notice, is a misuse of this site and is your responsibility alone.

Accuracy

Rules and scales are taken from the bodies that publish them, and a page cites its source where it depends on one. Bodies revise their rules, documents move, and mistakes are possible, so the figures here are guidance rather than a record. Where a university does not publish its scale, the page says plainly that the standard HEC scale is being applied instead. Always confirm a number against the official source before you rely on it for an admission, a scholarship, an attestation, a visa application, a tax return or a loan. How pages are checked is described in the editorial policy. If you spot a mistake, tell us and we will look into it.

Acceptable use

  • Do not scrape, mirror or bulk-download the site or its data files.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt the site, its hosting, or other people’s use of it.
  • Do not probe the site for security weaknesses without our written permission.
  • Do not cast helpful or not helpful votes by automated means, or try to raise or lower a page’s count. We may remove votes that look automated or abusive.
  • Do not represent CalcScholar as being affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any university.
  • Do not use generated documents to deceive anyone.

Intellectual property

The site’s design, text and code belong to CalcScholar and its operator. You may link to any page and quote short extracts with credit, but please do not republish our pages or copy our calculators without written permission. University names, crests and logos are the trademarks of the institutions that own them and appear here only to identify whose grading scale a page describes. Not affiliated with or endorsed by any university. University names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only to identify each institution’s grading scale. A university that would rather not appear here can ask us to remove it, and we will.

Third-party content and links

Some features rely on outside services: advertising, analytics, exchange rates and map data. We do not control them and are not responsible for what they show or for how they handle data, which is covered in the privacy policy. Links to other sites are offered for convenience, and a link is not an endorsement.

Advertising

The site is funded by display advertising served by Google AdSense. Ads are kept out of the calculator inputs and the transcript builder and never change a result. What an advertiser says is theirs, not ours, and we do not endorse it.

Availability and changes to the service

We aim to keep the site running, but we do not promise that it will always be available or error-free. We may add, change or remove calculators, pages and features at any time.

Liability

The site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, CalcScholar and its operator are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it, including a missed deadline, a rejected application, a financial loss or a decision made on a figure that turned out to be wrong. You are responsible for checking your own results. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change; the date at the top of this page records when they last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
