Download your transcript
A multi-page PDF with per-term SGPA, running CGPA, percentage, a grand total row and the grading plan, clearly marked as unofficial.
Add at least one course with marks and credit hours to produce a meaningful transcript.
Enter your details and your courses semester by semester, and this transcript generator builds a complete result card: the letter grade for every course, each term’s SGPA and percentage, your running CGPA, and a grand total row. Download it as a PDF branded with your university’s logo and colours. Everything is calculated in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
This produces an unofficial document. It carries no seal, signature or issuing authority, and it is not a substitute for the transcript your university issues. Use it to check your own numbers, never to represent yourself to an employer or institution.
What the transcript generator builds for you
The transcript generator produces the pieces of a real result card in the order a reader expects them. At the top is the header with your university's logo, name and colours, then a block of student details. Below that come the semester tables, each with its courses, grades, SGPA, running CGPA and percentage, followed by a grand total row, the grading plan and page numbers. Because it tracks every term, it works as a transcript generator with GPA, a CGPA transcript generator and a GPA transcript generator in one, and as a multi semester transcript maker for a record that spans several years. It is a student transcript generator and a semester result card generator at the same time, and it gives you an SGPA CGPA transcript maker whose totals come from your actual marks, so it doubles as a transcript maker with CGPA and percentage.
Transcript maker, result card generator and other names
People look for this tool under several names, and they all mean the same thing. A transcript maker and a transcript creator build the document from your courses, while a transcript builder emphasises adding semesters one at a time. A result card generator and a result card maker are the same idea for the printed result card format used by many universities, and a university result card maker or a university transcript generator tailors the output to one institution's grading plan. An unofficial transcript generator and an unofficial transcript maker stress the important limit: the document is for your own records and it is marked that way on every page.
A free transcript generator that runs in your browser
This is a free transcript generator, and there is no account to create. As an online transcript maker it works on a phone or laptop, and as a transcript maker online free of charge it does not gate the download. The PDF is built on your own device, so a transcript PDF generator does not need to upload your marks anywhere. Use it as an online result card generator when you want a tidy result card PDF for your own file, press the download button for a transcript PDF download, and keep the file next to your other study records. A CGPA transcript PDF is also a handy way to see the trend across terms at a glance.
Transcript generator Pakistan: result cards and grading plans
Pakistani universities print result cards with a common shape but different grading plans, which is why a transcript generator Pakistan students can rely on has to take the grading scale from the selected university instead of assuming one. A result card generator Pakistan applicants use must also handle marks out of different totals, credit hours that vary by course, and the footnote conventions for deficiency courses. Choose your university in the tool, and the letter grades, grade points and percentage bands follow its published plan. The built-in sample reproduces a Superior University transcript, and the output is laid out like a Superior University result card, so you can compare the tool's figures with a real printed record before you enter your own.
What you enter and what comes out
You type your name, father's name, roll number, registration number, department, batch, program and shift once. For each semester you add courses with a code, title, credit hours, total marks and obtained marks. In return the tool derives each course's grade and grade points, the semester's SGPA and percentage, the running CGPA after that term, and a grand total row. Nothing is typed twice, and changing one mark updates every figure that depends on it.
How the numbers on your transcript are worked out
Each course’s marks are converted to a letter grade using your selected university’s published bands, and that letter carries a grade point. Multiply the grade point by the course’s credit hours and you get its quality points. A semester’s SGPA is that semester’s quality points divided by its credit hours; the CGPA is the same division applied to everything you have completed so far.
where:
- GP
- Grade point earned for a course
- Cr
- Credit hours for a course
- QP
- Quality points for a course (GP × Cr)
- Σ
- Sum across one semester (SGPA) or every completed semester (CGPA)
- GPA
- SGPA for one semester, or CGPA across all completed semesters
The SGPA formula and the CGPA formula are the same division at two scopes, and the quality points formula is the step that feeds both. To see how to calculate SGPA by hand, add up grade point times credit hours for one term and divide by that term's credit hours. For how to calculate CGPA from SGPA, do not average the SGPAs; carry the quality points and credit hours forward instead. How to calculate running CGPA is the same carrying done after every term: keep one cumulative total of each and divide after each semester.
The percentage is calculated from your actual marks rather than converted from your GPA, because no single official CGPA-to-percentage formula exists across institutions worldwide, whether it is a 4.00-scale system, a UK-style classification, or an HEC-style scale used across South Asia. If you want the reasoning behind that, the CGPA calculation guide walks through one such scale in detail, and SGPA vs CGPA explains why a strong semester late in a degree barely moves the cumulative figure.
Want to check the tool against a known result card? Press Load sample transcript above. It fills in a real five-semester Superior University record whose printed SGPAs are 3.83, 3.85, 3.92, 3.76 and 3.94, with a final CGPA of 3.86. Those are the exact figures this tool reproduces.
Checking a result card against the tool
The quickest use of the tool is a cross-check. Enter the courses from a printed result card exactly as they appear, including credit hours and total marks, then compare the SGPA, running CGPA and percentage for each term with the printed ones. A match confirms both the card and your understanding of the grading plan. A mismatch is informative too: it usually points to a course the university counted differently, a rounding step applied at another point, or a grade band that changed between sessions. Keep any difference you cannot explain and ask your examination office before assuming either side is wrong.
Planning is the other use. Add a hypothetical next semester with the credit hours you expect and the marks you are aiming for, and read the new running CGPA. Change the marks and watch how much one course moves the total, which is often less than students expect. Delete the hypothetical term before you download a PDF you intend to keep as a record of real results.
Deficiency courses and the asterisk
A deficiency course is an extra course taken to clear a shortfall from an earlier qualification, and deficiency courses meaning is usually spelled out in a footnote. What does an asterisk mean on a transcript? On a result card it commonly flags exactly this kind of course. Do deficiency courses count in CGPA? That depends on the university's convention, which the tool follows for the plan you select. For Superior University the flagged course counts toward SGPA, CGPA and percentage but not toward the credit hours that go to the degree, so tick the deficiency box on the course and the tool applies the rule.
How to use the transcript generator step by step
Start by choosing your university so the grading plan is right. Fill in the student details, add your first semester, and enter each course with its credit hours and marks. Mark any deficiency course, review the per-term figures against your result card, and repeat for each further semester. When everything matches, download the PDF. If a figure does not match, check the credit hours and total marks for that course first, because a wrong total is the most common cause of a small difference.
