How CGPA works in Faisalabad
The arithmetic is the same everywhere in Pakistan: multiply each course’s grade point by its credit hours, add those products up, and divide by the total credit hours attempted. That gives a semester GPA; the CGPA repeats the same sum across every semester you have completed rather than averaging the SGPAs, which is why a heavy semester moves your CGPA more than a light one.
What changes between Faisalabad campuses is the marks-to-grade-point table feeding that formula, all of them out of 4.0. Each university page below prints its own table so you are never guessing.
- What CGPA actually is: the definition and the formula, worked through end to end.
- Credit hours and why they are the weights: how a 3-credit course outweighs a 1-credit lab.
- Using the calculator: entering marks versus entering grades.
